Bill recently relocated to Hoke County from Cherokee County in Western North Carolina after his lovely wife, Dr. Bernadette Shilling, accepted a assistant professor of clinical studies faculty position with Methodist University teaching in their Physician Assistant program.

Prior to this move, Bill was a successful litigation attorney practicing in Cherokee, Clay, Graham, and Macon Counties.  

He attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law where he received the Book Award in trial practice, being undefeated in trial competition.

Bill is an Honorably Discharged United States Air Force Veteran who served in Desert Storm with the U2 Spy Plane program.
